Homemade Chips Food Business: Gonda, Gram Panchayat of Jhanjhari, Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, has become an example of self -sufficiency by joining a woman, Shri Radhe self -help group of Puri Tiwari. Kiran Mishra has studied up to post graduation. After completing his studies, she was living as a housewife, but after joining the self -help group, she took a step towards realizing her dreams. Today, 12 other women with them are also cooperating in this task and getting employment.
Kiran Mishra told Local18 that at the time of Holi, chips and papad are made and eaten in every house. Inspired by this, he started this business. This business made her financially empowered and now she is earning good income every month.
Kiran Mishra has provided employment to 12 women from this business. All these women together work to make chips and papad, due to which they are also getting financial benefits.
The first high quality potato is selected to prepare potato papad. They are boiled and grated and then rock salt, kasoori methi, red chillies and other spices are added to it. This time Kiran Mishra has prepared 2 quintal potatoes and 1 kuntal semolina papad. Their products can also be consumed during fasting.
Kiran Mishra says Local18 that it costs about 10,000 to 15,000 rupees to prepare chips and papads. Their monthly turnover has reached Rs 50,000 to 60,000. In this way, their business is making them self -reliant not only but also other women.
Kiran Mishra further said that his chips and papad are being supplied in many private shops and malls in Gonda district. Apart from this, she is also supplying it from her home.
