Meet Savita Srivastava, a resident of Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, who is famous in Sultanpur district for different types of dishes. Savita has made Amla marmalade, whose taste is far and wide. This is the reason that the demand for marmalade by Savita is increasing rapidly in this winter season. Savita told the Local18 team that when she started the work of making marmalade in 2010, the people nearby narrated a lot of taunts to her. But Savita, ignoring those taunts, was engaged in her work. The result of her hard work is that today Savita is not only making marmalade herself, but has also trained many other women and has become an inspiration for the society.
Savita Srivastava, who has been honored by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, makes many types of pickles along with making a jam of gooseberry. These include amla pickle, mango pickle, garlic pickle, jackfruit pickle, lemon pickle and 100 types of pickles including gooseberry pickle. These pickles are also in great demand in the local market.
Savita Srivastava told that she is earning thousands of rupees per month from this business of marmalade. She also prepares a huge amount of marmalade on orders in marriage and other festivals. Apart from Sultanpur district, Amla is also being preferred in nearby districts like Amethi, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Jaunpur and Pratapgarh.
Savita Srivastava has proved through her hard work and struggle that success can be achieved under any circumstances. His example also shows that as long as someone is devoted to his goals, success can be achieved by crossing the challenges on the way.
